Our Story
Petra Cafe was founded in 2018 by the Al-Rashid family, three generations of cooks from the village of Wadi Musa near the ancient city of Petra. We opened our doors on the shores of Aqaba with one mission: to share the extraordinary depth of Jordanian cuisine with the world.
Our kitchen is led by Chef Rania Al-Rashid, who trained under her grandmother before studying at the Amman Culinary Institute. Every spice blend is mixed by hand each morning. Our bread is baked in a traditional stone oven. Our lamb is sourced from local Bedouin farms.
